Maison Shaw Remembered for Courage, Charisma, and Devotion to Family Following a Rare Cancer Journey
Maison Shaw, 20, died on 4 October 2026 after living with a rare sarcoma cancer since the beginning of 2024.
Doctors discovered a mass behind Maison’s knee after treatment for compartment syndrome and confirmed the incurable diagnosis in mid-January 2024.
The cancer had reached Maison’s spine and all four quadrants of the lungs, leading to palliative chemotherapy intended to manage the condition.
During a holiday in Spain in August 2024, Maison became paralysed and required hospital care before returning home dependent on a wheelchair.
Maison underwent a leg amputation in March 2026 and continued facing each challenge with remarkable courage and a warm smile.
Treatment ended in the middle of 2026, but Maison remained deeply loved and admired for an unforgettable charisma and the ability to touch hearts.
Family members remember Maison as a devoted sibling and a cherished hero to a younger brother.
Maison’s loss leaves family and friends heartbroken while memories of resilience, kindness, and love continue to endure.
