Meredith Wrenn, 45, of Charleston Remembered After Fatal Drowning at Kiawah Island Beach Club
Meredith Wrenn, 45, of Charleston, South Carolina, died after a bystander found them unresponsive in a pool at the Kiawah Island Beach Club on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
The bystander discovered Wrenn at approximately 7:40 a.m., prompting authorities and emergency personnel to respond.
The Charleston County Coroner’s Office determined that drowning caused Wrenn’s death.
The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, its Criminal Investigations Division, Forensic Services Unit, Charleston County Emergency Medical Services, St. Johns Fire Department, and the coroner’s office responded to the scene.
As of October 16, 2026, the sheriff’s office continued to investigate the circumstances and had not released further details.
