Alexa Medina Zion Remembered as Loved Ones Prepare October 17 Memorial Services in Ferndale, Michigan
Alexa Medina Zion, 34, of Ferndale, Michigan, died on September 30, 2026, after a life shared with family, friends, and the wider community.
Born on July 30, 1992, Alexa leaves treasured memories with everyone touched by their character, spirit, and presence.
Alexa was preceded in death by grandparents Amos Zion and Eugenia Morris and great-aunt Mary Fluker.
Alexa’s parents, Keith Zion and Virginia Mines, along with Joy Krause, sister Samantha Zion, Evan Zott, grandmother Betty Zion, and pet Jay, survive them.
Visitation will take place Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Spaulding & Curtin Funeral Home, 500 W Nine Mile Road, Ferndale, Michigan 48220.
A celebration of life will also take place there on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
Loved ones may honor Alexa’s memory with condolences, flowers, a candle, or a memorial tree.
