Kenneth Newton, 46, Remembered After Two-SUV Crash in Aiken County, South Carolina
Kenneth Newton, 46, died Thursday night, October 15, 2026, after a Toyota Highlander and a 2019 Kia Sorento collided at Wagener Road and State Park Road in Aiken County, South Carolina.
The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m., and South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers found Newton outside the Highlander after the impact ejected them from the SUV.
Newton was not wearing a seat belt, and the coroner pronounced them dead at the scene at 10:34 p.m.
Officials scheduled an autopsy in Newberry as the Highway Patrol and Aiken County Coroner’s Office continued investigating the cause and circumstances of the collision.
Authorities had not announced fault or charges, and information about the Kia Sorento’s driver remained limited.
