Anthony Valentine, 59, Dies Following October 11 Hit-and-Run in North Charleston
Anthony Valentine, a 59-year-old construction worker from Virginia, died on October 13, 2026, after sustaining injuries in a hit-and-run collision.
The collision occurred at about 10 p.m. on October 11 near Rivers Avenue and NAD Road in North Charleston, South Carolina.
A vehicle struck Valentine and left the scene.
The Charleston County Coroner’s Office said Valentine died at Trident Medical Center at 6:51 p.m.
Witness descriptions helped North Charleston police identify the vehicle and locate a suspect on Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities arrested the suspect and filed charges, which remain allegations subject to the legal process.
Valentine’s death brings sorrow to those who knew and worked alongside them.
